Those CA's are lovely looking sticks, for sure. Yours for just three hundred and sixty quid. And that's with a saving of ninety quid off the RRP. Although they might be big bats, for me, there's always the nagging issue of underpressed, overdried willow and short lifespan with Asian-made bats. What's your take on this, Paul, Chris?

I was a big skeptic of CAs until I get my hands on one. Knock on wood, over two years now and going strong. Huge sixes.
I gave the bat some good knocking with a mallet and netted with it. It opened it fairly quickly. I am so pleased with my CA. That I bought two more for 2016. One of them has 31 grains and I posted its pics here on the forum.

When Iam not using my CA, I use my M&H Amplus or my trusty Laver.

Not a dig at the retailer at all, but why pay over £300 for a bat made in Pakistan or India, when raw materials and labour probably don't exceed £75.

If it's that easy, buy the raw materials for £75 a time and knock them out yourself mate, you'll be a millionaire in no time.

I wasn't saying it was easy, but compare the retail price to something UK handmade produced from the same willow supplier, how can the end cost be justified? Some of these people in India earn less than 5 quid a day.

But once you've added in the costs to ship the bats over to the UK and then add the relevant import taxes, you'd be surprised how much it works out as. I fully agree however that these people deserve more money for the work they do, but sadly this isn't likely to change anytime soon.

To put it into perspective, I pay less for a bat 100% handmade in the UK than I do for a bat made by my soft suppliers in India... (inc delivery/taxes etc).
