Hello all,

Paul has given me the task of organising the Xmas affair this year - since I missed out and was in Aus last year!

We are still in the early stages, so just seeing what people would like to see from a day like this? We will probably open it up to customers and forumites, so it will be a really nice mix, and provide the usual beer and mince pies etc etc. Further, we will have new stock from almost everyone by then, so a perfect time to get a Christmas present.

There will be discounts and exclusive bundles, as well as junior kit and a lot of cricket stocking fillers, on the night, and we are hoping to launch a couple of new ranges, and get talks and Q and A sessions from a few different brands.

Dates wise we are looking at somewhere around Wednesday December 16th. This allows anyone who buys a bat on the day to still get it in time for Christmas, including being knocked in.

Any feedback, comments, things you'd like to see, are always welcome!

Nice idea, always difficult though with lots going on at Xmas. Various Christmas parties and drinks events with work.

Q & A's would be great, as well of lots of willow on show

That's what we think. Something a little bit different, to get an insight into the world of the manufacturer etc.

Just to update people. We have locked in the date as Wednesday 16th December. It will be an evening affair, starting from around 5 ish (or whenever people can get from work or school), lasting until around 10 ish - although with the beer flowing it could go longer!

We have lined up some talks, demonstrations and discussions with some industry leading experts, and think that this will make the event a little different from the usual.

We have at the moment 5 companies we are talking to, who cover a huge range of the market, who will be offering their thoughts and no doubt have some little specials and discounts on the night!

There will also be at least one world exclusive product launch in The Platinum Lounge too!

All. We have confirmed the date of this to be Tuesday 15th December.

We've also locked in our first two speakers. We are proud to announce there will be a live bat making presentation and discussion from Charlie French of CF Sports, as well as a talk from Phantom Cricket. We are working on others, so this is by no means it.

Oh, and a lot of beer!
