From the article:

"Brendon McCullum, who led New Zealand through an exhilarating two years of success, will retire from international cricket in February after the two-Test series against Australia, the 34-year-old batsman said on Tuesday."

Another one of crickets good guys steps out. Hopefully we'll see even more of him playing T20 on our screens. New Zealand's loss will be our gain

Is it not a little to soon?

Or is it an attempt to cash in on t20 earnings to have a better retirement while he still has it(many will disagree but I believe it is a good choice in terms of future and family security if he hasn't made it already)



In terms of him in tests, 2014 he scored a triple hundred and also broke nz record for most runs in calendar year.
Grants 2015 hasn't been so prolific, and the king, Kane Williamson broke that record, I wouldn't say his decline was that big he isn't good enough.


But whatever he does, I'd say Goodluck and thank you. It's been entertaining

Thought he might have retired from tests and continued with limited over cricket!
One of the good guys in cricket and certainly will be a massive blow for nZ

This will be a real loss to international cricket, always seemed like a proper sportsman, played hard but fair, like sport should be played.

What a shame he's gone to early mabe having a young family  and time away from home played its part like his fellow Kiwis he always played test cricket the way it should it should be played
