Thanks ECB for more of the same cr*p, this time from an Aussie, just to make it even worse.

The best thing for the long term future of the game, and by far the best thing the ECB could do right now is totally remove themselves from the running of the game at grassroots and appoint a body independent from them with allocated funds to reverse the mass of red tape and hoops to jump thru they created to get any funding in the first place-and re-work and re-think the whole of club cricket thru independent thinking.
So to establish what is grass roots, and then go from there.

but sad to say I have zero confidence something as radical as that would be done.

The first focus should be on schools, get that right and we may get more youngsters playing  into adult hood. Clubs, leagues etc can try as hard as they like but if the schools are providing cricket it's an uphill battle.

Utter load of rubbish. Still, it looks good to managers and admin types but is completely useless practically

I think the "four c's" that contains 3 c's and a k and looks like something drawn up in 5 minutes in Microsoft publisher sums it up really!
