Smaller edged Warner Bat
« on: December 18, 2015, 03:56:18 PM »

Had this delivered last week and just got round to having a good look at it. My first impressions when taking it out if the Box last week was that it wasn't as big as I expected. I'm still think that's the case. The toe is rather thin, which is a worry, especially when compared to the bespoke I had made last year, which cracked in a few places. The edges are 30mm at its biggest point, so pretty good on that bit. Spine is 70mm, so not the 80mm I was expecting, but still looks impressive. There's no concaving on the bat so looking down the handle it looks a big piece of timber. Weight is just over 2-12 1/2. No idea what weight the cleft was to start with. Finish is excellent. Embossed stickers look good but so did last years.

Always love a high spine, alongside the distinction

Alongside last seasons and this seasons match bat

The Bat looks good, but the toe is the turn off.

If I had that bat I would be afraid to play my way and dig Yorkers at good pace. :(

The bat looks better than I was expecting. I had three to choose from and from the Drs pictures, they were all around 6-7 grains.

You can have the credit for the heartwood bat,Rebound really is phenomenal now after a seasons use.

Gorgeous bat, but I agree about the toe! I bet it picks up superbly! Did you remember to take into account the face camber for the spine measurement? ;) Might be my next purchase... :D
