I'll let the pictures do the talking - more than a thousand words as they say. The bats need some TLC before season start so you'll see frayed scuff sheets, ball marks and a few dings - Sanding and a coat of oil is in order soon. Please let me know if you need any other details
USSZ
WEIGHT: 2lb 12oz - Double grip/toeguard ( using non-digital scale - maybe off a little bit)
HANDLE SHAPE: Semi Oval
EDGE WIDTH: 36 mm
GRAINS: 8 Straight
SPINE: 54 mm
PICK-UP : Feels like 2.10 - Very nicely balanced
PERFORMANCE: Pings nicely and gives a lot of confidence and is my go to bat for some reason that I cannot quantify.
AESTHETICS: No blemishes on both sides of the willow - quite pristine
ST Avenger
WEIGHT: 2lb 10oz - single grip/toeguard ( using non-digital scale - maybe off a little bit)
HANDLE SHAPE: Thick Oval
EDGE WIDTH: 32 mm
GRAINS: 10 straight and beautiful
SPINE: 52 mm approx
PICK-UP: Feels 2.9 - nice balance
PERFORMANCE: Pings well and is still not in its prime - need to play more with it.
AESTHETICS: Very nice playing surface, some blemishes on the back - one knot high near the handle on the back of the bat that got me riled but have gotten over it
Both these bat makers were very nice to me and made these to my specs, though I must say USSZ came in heavier than expected.
Need to add one more beauty to the stable this year(2016) - What do you guys suggest??
