The warbird was bought new, and I gave it a single light coat of oil before applying a scuff sheet, whereas the NV was was 2nd hand, and had received 2 coats of oil before the scuff sheet.

The NV was a bit more pingy, but that's probably because it is a bit heavier and was fully prepared by @Chad, while the Warbird is still being knocked in.

Ahh makes more sense! Keep us updated on how the warbird goes. I've also just invested in a warbird and itd be good to see the Truth in matts consistency in his bats. Could also be down to chads preparation of the bat that causes the extra ping in the NV. Would love to see the warbird get to the same level as the NV.
