New CJI Black Ultimate Limited Edition bats
« on: February 02, 2010, 01:15:50 PM »

This isnt really a review, more of a heads up.

I went up the CJI shop this morning, looking to pick out my new blade for the new season, and Chris showed me his New Ultimate Limited Edition bats. These bats arent like the CJI LE bats, these are normal bats, 1 piece of willow made from the best willow available.

I picked up two of these bats and I have to say these are immense. As most of you know, I like the heavier bats, and I was more interested in the heavier bat. The one I was interested in weighed 2lb 12oz and had 38mm edges. They picked up like a dream and they were blemish free.

Hitting the bats with a mallet made me want one and its save to say that I will be saving my hard earned pennies this month for one. The stickers are different as well, with a mix of matte and chrome on the front, and this gives the bat the perfect finish.

This price It is a bit off putting for a customer, bearing in mind these arent handmade, who makes them? Their stickers look familiar from another brand for some reason! Shame about the price, because they look quite nice!

If they're made in India like the rest of the CJI range I can say they're more handmade than any Uk bat! If the quality is pro level then they're well priced

Haha yes, could have worded my comments a bit better, i meant handmade in the UK, not India. It would be interesting to see the quality of this bat as by all accounts i have seen CJI's tend to be very good bats!

Well I went up there today, and these bats really do ping with the mallet. They will be numbered individually with only a certain amount made, but seriously, for a grade 1 top of the range model, these are a good buy in my opinion.

If you compare the bat and the bats price to other brands pro quality bats (Original L.E's, Pro Performances, Slazenger Ultimates), these are excellent value for money.
