Tear in GM pads
«

Got in from my innings yesterday and noticed this just underneath the knee roll. These are not even a year old. Haven't been sliding around in them or anything. What can I do with regards to exchange or refund?

I know the response if trying to take them back here in Australia... No chance after that length of time.
Maybe if you got them from a boutique store that has a good, direct relationship with GM maybe.
I notice in my new set of spartan pads, that the outer lining isn't as thick as on other pads i've had.
Could be a dirty ploy to get us all to have to buy replacements more frequently.

Doesn't look To me as though it's the stitch that's come loose? Looks to just be a tear in the PU? So I'd imagine after that length of time they won't replace them, I'd just get some glue and stick it down you won't notice it

Sorry to say I can't see anyway that these would fall under any kind of warranty, they have been used and there is no way of proving the nature and degree of use, as such I cannot see any shop or manufacturer following a warranty. If you are a customer that the shop you bought it cannot afford to lose, and make a real stink about it, maybe something will be done, but very unlikely.

I put some shoe goo on my older pads. It's a bit flexible so it holds it all in without tearing anymore.
