Black Widow Legacy
« on: May 07, 2016, 07:43:59 AM »

Our saffa came across with full Black Widow kit, I've not seen this in the flesh before, his toe guard came off at nets last night, so I offered to stick it back on for him, basically so I could snap some pictures of it for you guys haha. Bat geek at it's finest.
Love the laser etching as well, really something different.
Well what a whopper it is.
Here's some pictures for you, it goes like the clappers!

i'm a big fan of the use of laser engracing or branding irons to do the decals on bats i think they look really good

they don't do it anymore but PiriPiri used to brand the edge of their bats and it always added a nice touch

Awesome Bat! On his batmaking video, he said that he oils the bats before he presses them. Would like to know the opinion of other batmakers on this technique.

I am guessing it is due to the hot climate and it will be done to prevent the willow from drying out and splitting during pressing. In the Uk they spray or dip in water before pressing.
