to re-handle or not to re-handle

we have a team bat with a cracked handle  - is it worth trying to re-handle?
ideas of costs

worth the effort & value for money
who sells decent but good value separate handles?

stock handle advice - any pointers for DIY carpenter

One of the big questions is what is the rest of the bat like? If its on its last legs also then maybe its not worth it.

What is the bat and how old is it?
