Newbery GT335 Players
« on: January 12, 2010, 07:20:11 PM »

Hi, this is not really a review of my new Newbery, but more a note to say that I am extremely happy with the service offered by Asad in answering a lot of questions and getting me the bat I really wanted and a few extra bits too.

I contacted him at the weekend and 15 odd emails containing pics from all angles later, I have it in my little hands.
After using a Warsop Platinum for the last couple of years I am used to good pick-up but this is very good too. I have double-gripped it and tapped with the mallet - ping seems great, but will wait until it has been used in nets/games before I make any mad claims!

Anyway, the specs:
Weight (with two grips and hammer edge) 2.9
Edge Height: 30mm
Spine Height: 58mm with no concaving
Grains: 8 straight unblemished grains

All in all, this bat included hammer edge treatment, so I won't drive my girlfriend mad knocking it in for hours.
Very happy with first impressions and can only doff my cap in Asad's direction. Service and product top drawer.
