Playing through Leg Side
« on: May 25, 2016, 11:12:56 AM »

Hello !!!

I play cricket in OCC league in Muscat, Oman. This season was wonderful for me as I am the division top scorer, scoring 310 in 7 t20 matches. I am an opener. I am quite good at off side and straight. But somehow i cant play on the leg side. I have straight stance similar to Sachin and use 2.14 lb bat. Due to my inability to play on the leg side, I often miss some freebies on leg side during power play.

Hence, any tips or tutorials to play on the leg side would be wonderful.

Thanks and Cheers

Thanks for those links. Some of them are really helpful.
But i started to think that i need to reduce the weight of the bat i am using, with 2.14 lbs sometimes i dont get a proper flow of bat.
So, this season trying to get 2.10 from Laver Ultra profile.

@prav936... One suggestion though regarding the Ultra profile, I did use it before and its broke partly becuase of profile and shots I played. and Same thing happened for my teammate too with same profile. I took two chest high deliveries in the top part of the blade and after couple of overs, dug out a yorker and played a low full toss with the bottom of the bat and boom there was a crack along the shoulder. When contacted Laver, Its partly because of profile, my shots and the wood to an extent (Special reserve). So, switched to normal profile for my reserve and special reserve, they have been serving my good.

@Shortpitch Thanks for that info. Will check with James. I do have a normal profile which is the best bat i had. But just tempted by Ultra profile :)
