D S helmet
« on: May 29, 2016, 09:46:18 AM »

Over the years a friend of mine has worked with the Proteas.

He's had a bit of a clear out and found this and he's thinking of selling it.

Apart from 'as much as anyone is willing to pay for it', any idea of its worth?

Depends if it has a steel or Ti grille on it, as it's not 2013 compliant it will fetch a lower price than newer models.

Steel- £20
Ti- £50

Would be my guide prices.

My brand new titanium one sold for £35 about 12 months ago. I paid more than that for the grille when I bought it :(

No sharpie this time. On the reverse of the metal plate it states who used it. It looks like it was to be auctioned off but it was given to my friend Rob who has a long standing relationship with the Proteas and the KNCB. He managed the SA team when they over at VRA for a ODI against Ned.

Photobucket is playing up otherwise I'd upload some more photos.

So in essence it's a 5 year old, 2nd hand helmet that's been hit by a ball to cause visible damage?
