im a big fan of cricket becoming more global and if this can help the usa to produce more homegrown players it must be a postive, not sure about the cricket specific facilities that they have to offer tho

Not for 20/20 but could do wonders for the game in the USA.

Currently only 1 in Florida 20,000 capacity.. Trying to figure out where in NY they would play.. Can't be a MLB stadium during sept.. plus that would be matting.. Would love to see more stadiums in the US.. Indoor stadiums would be awesome..

mike, when you say it would not be a positive for 20/20 (if thats what you meant) i would have to disagree as the americans have proved in the past their skills at marketing to large audiences, and making advances in how we watch sport, surely letting them trial a few things on a minor (in the grand scheme of things) tournament would not hurt?

I would travel for 20/20, that pretty much goes for anywhere, Test Matches are a possibility. Sure that they would be staged very well.

I think it would be great fun to go to the states and watch some 2020 - possibly even a test match - there is a pretty large expat community in and around Boston, which would be a lot of fun. I have no idea where they would play, but surely it wouldn't take too much to get a pitch put in to one of the off-season American Football grounds.

I think it's a mistake to take cricket to the USA. I mean the bog standard Yank probably doesn't even understand cricket. Therefore what is the point taking something overseas, where the majority of people won't be interested.

CD - I know plenty of Indian/Pakistani's live in the USA, but IMO, only countries with ODI status should be considered as neutral venues.

the BBC did an article about cricket in the USA and I think it could work, but only the t20 version would kick off, maybe the ODI's but I dont think they could for tests

hell, I recon the mongoose could have a good market over in the USA, being many people thought the MMi3 was like a baseball bat lol
