Is there or was there any connection of the County brand and Hunts County?
I said similar name and logo but that's it. County was GN's lower grade equipment but a mate is making a good argument out of it.

No connection to my knowledge, GN bought County around 20 years ago.

Hunts County are a different from GN they make a range of County bats County Revolution,Cae rulex, Aura, Insignia etc.

The UK arm of the old County business went into liquidation in the early 80s. After that people associated with that company formed a new business, Hunts County Bats, with no link to GN

The Australian arm of the old County business survived, and was eventually bought by GN.

There is no link between Hunts county Bats and the Aussie County brand

As an Aussie newbie here who has recently returned to cricket at 50, I was stoked to find the handmade Hunts County Caerulex 5 crowns at Talent Cricket  in the UK. Handmade in the retro style with thinner edges but thick profile, I had one arrive in Sydney a week ago. With solid, but not brilliant ping, across a large part of the face, it has the best pick-up I've felt since a Rhino Tusker. Weighs about 2lb 9oz and feels impregnable.

Bats_Entertainment seems to be on the money.
I was lucky enough to meet Pat Beamish at the County factory in Melbourne in 1993.
He told me that after being with County in UK for years he decided to emmigrate to Australia.
He started County in Melbourne with talented Fremantle cricketer Phil O'Meara.
Grays (Aust) purchased the brand in the 90's, hence Warne, Cam White etc using the stickers.
I believe when Steve Turnock relaunched County in Huntington he had to add "Hunts" to the name because of trade mark restrictions.
Grays(Aust) have continued their brand aquisitions with Steeden, Gilbert and others.
