Who has a B3 bat?
« on: August 18, 2016, 03:58:40 PM »

I know the obvious ones that have b3 stickers but does anyone know of proffesionals who use b3 bats without b3 stickers?

Thanks

People do but it not a done thing to announce who.

I could tell you there quite a few through the backdoor...

It is all in the shoulder mate if you train your eyes enought shoulders never or tend not to lie ie B3 Tk and SS and a few of the others.

I can recollect one instance where i noticed Stokes NB bat had a B3 sticker on the logo. So safe to assume he has some links to B3.

Sounds like game plan. Start posting a few photos and lets have a go at this. I have never considered this. Its like a poker skill. No one is ever going to confirm or deny. i wonder what section of the shoulders?

I am doing a clean up of the bat room today, will probably post a new topic about tell tale signs in terms of bat origins. :)

As well as growing the B3 brand we are making bats for other brands such as New Balance, the US running shoe company, who have recently entered the cricket world. We have made bespoke bats for several of the world’s top professionals including England’s Gary Ballance, Ben Stokes, Jonathan Trott. Aaron Finch the Australian and Pakistan legend, Shoaib Malik.

Just have a look at the way the shoulders are angled and the way there blended in you will pick it up quick i know quite a few forum members who have a keen eye and can tell...

there is also a generic few which you can not tell it also twine and other tell tale things but for that you have to have the bat there.

Good idea @Chad. We will continue this idea for spotting pro bats makers there. Could be fun. no prizes or confirmations likely, but it is a handy thing to test.

Thanks for the idea @procricket.

No bother but it a very hard spot on most though because i would say 70 per cent are all the same and then again players do tend to "travel" through different sources all the time.

Plus not sure why anybody would really like to know but i get it...

It just sounds like a job for mythbusters and since they were cancelled it falls to forum members to test their metal.

nb- plus the fact Im layed up with the flu and bored senseless. if I dont find a game I'm likely to buy a second cricket bat this week.😁
