My £2 bat
« on: August 31, 2016, 01:32:44 PM »

Got this for 2 quid at the shop attached to our local municipal dump. It had a few cracks but felt good. It weights 2lb 7oz. 20mm edge and spine height about 50mm. It has a D and a 2 stamped into the shoulders ????? Probably the willow grade.

Cracks taken care of

Sanded and oiled

To be fair it does tap up well. Got a nice low middle and i will use it Saturday if we are not rained off. The split appears to have stuck well as there is no funny sound when you bounce a ball on it. Just waiting for the roll of scuff I ordered from Vitas (that will be 6m I have got through this season) and then I plan to give it a go this Saturday.
