if i bat early on i leave everything which isnt on the stumps and just play straight till i get my eye in

i have three grips on the bottom half of my handle to solve this problem, worked a treat!

practise more and make sure you make good contact, If you persist in hitting the ball on the up, make sure you strike it harder and make it difficult for the fielders to catch.
I always find that the gilly technique works ok, with the squash ball in the glove of your bottom hand

When i get out to bat i tend to hit the ball in the air quite alot, after this i end up getting good scores but one day im not guna be dropped 3 times in single figures! do any of you have any tips. i have been told im pushing at it with a strong bottom hand grip and my head up. how can i correct this?

What bat do you use and weight?

i have an Millichamp and hall custom shape with a low middle think its about 2lbs 9oz with the 2 and a half grips on

Just practise not gripping the bottom hand tight and make it loose then as a result of that you wont hit the ball in the air it will go across the ground this happend to me start of the season just gone!

Is it bowed?  Actually just read it a bit more.... are you skying the shots later on as well or is it mainly just when you are playing yourself in?

slightly bowed but not extravevent , well its does go on all innings like the last match i was caught and bowled for 19 and another game the same for 18
