Coconut matting
«

We have an old AstroTurf wicket that is knackered and really needs digging up and replacing but we don't have the budget. At committee last Night we discussed covering it with coconut matting. Anyone know a good supplier or any clubs have any they'd be willing to sell?

County grounds use it cover spare wickets so they don't get damaged but unsure how much it will help over an old artificial wicket.

Its essentially a temporary measure as the artificial wicket is not in great shape and as i said ideally needs digging up but we dont have time before the new season. Parts of it are damaged and are a trip hazard so the idea with the matting was to cover it up this season making it safer and get rid of it for good in September

If you're getting rid of the matting, cut it off maybe? Not going to make much difference I'd assume?
