My Visit to The Cricket Boutique Today
« on: December 28, 2016, 09:19:08 PM »

Well Hello

I had to drop a post and tell you all about the great experience I have just had at the Cricket Bat boutique!

Looking for a custom I decided to visit the Boutique with a open mind and see if they had anything which stood out for me, my thinking was if I find the bat I really like I can always go and get a custom one made. Some what a nothing ventured nothing gained attitude.

I arrive to find a kitchen full of 30+ plus bats and started whittling them down, I parted with around 6 somewhat easily as they were just not for me!!

The process then got a lot harder however with the expert advice and the moral support of a team mate we managed to get it down to 6 bats! All the bats so light on pick up, weight really means so little I really believe this now! Here are the final 6 looking pretty.

I had not even asked the price, I wanted the bat and knew anything in the boutique was in my range. More tapping up and feeling followed. My mate kindly wrote one out of the process and I despatched another on fell. Such tough decisions!! 4 Remained.....

Next to bite the dust was the Aldred, looked superb, tapped up well and picked up well. The bat felt very well made around the handle and the bigger handle gave this a different feel, however it was just not for me.

With 3 remaining the Jedi Zaramax bit the dust, this was so hard to put down!!! The ping out of the middle of this bat was out of this world, the sweet hitting spot on it however was not as big as the ones which made my final 2. Or it did not feel it. Note the Middle was out of this world.

So here were my final 2

Another debate followed with nothing in the two bats, the Red Ink Vs the Jedi! The Red ink was great with its traditional style. Already knocked in to an extent the red ink pinged well and felt great I the hands.

The Jedi not far unlike its fore mentioned sister flew off the middle, its style and obvious light pressing were making this a tough decision!! Price was spoken about and with nothing between them that did nothing to ease my decision!

Deliberation and the I had decided that my bat for the beginning for 2017 would be:

The bargain price paid left me with a few quid and my guilt to the left behind Red Ink made me opt for this bargain duffle from Red Ink, new to duffles this was at a price to give a duffle a try!!

Great Trip and when this brand grows I am first in line to be chief tapper upper!!!

Thanks for the great experience!!

Great post.

It must have been a really tough decision for you. Interested in taking a closer look at a Jedi at some point in the future.

Thanks for the review and glad you found something you liked. I think the biggest problem was too much choice.

If anyone wants to pay us a visit just drop us a message first.

Good to see the bat was rated highly. Shame it fell at the last hurdle, but good to see you left with something from the Red Ink range.  The duffles have been really popular
