Morning all, long shot I know, but the club I captain would ideally require a new opening batsmen. At the moment I am having to do it, and slightly out of my comfort zone, but I am the only one willing to do it. We play in the Craven League Division 1. Our ground is arguably one of the best in the league, and we have a strong side that should be competing for the league title. We are currently sitting about 3rd or 4th in the table after a disappointing result yesterday, one which I will blame on myself struggling at the top of the order, and our abysmal fielding display.

We have a strong social aspect down at the club, with a big clubhouse and fully licensed bar.

If anyone is interested in a new challenge, or wants to find out some more information on the team or the club, please get in touch via pm or this thread.

We would also be happy for any other players looking for a new challenge, not just an opening batsmen

Just a gentle reminder about this, for next season, looking to recruit some more player who are looking for a fresh start and new challenge.

In terms of this season with me as captain, it has been a disappointing one as I have missed pretty much half the year due to work and rain, and as a result of this and having players unavailable most weeks for various reasons, we are sitting mid table after being title contenders half way through the season. We are currently I talks with 3 potential new players, and will be losing at least 1 of the current 1st team players. Mainly looking for 1st team players, with some senior players and juniors making up the majority of the 2nd team.

In terms of standard, compared to the other 2 leagues around us (Bradford league and Aire wharfe) we are the weaker of the 3. despite this, a lot of players from our league start off here and go on to play aire wharfe or Bradford league, myself included, and 2 of our better players left to play Bradford league last season, so it can act as a stepping stone, way to get noticed and go on to bigger and better things.

Any more info required, please get in touch guys, we will have indoor nets in the new year for pre season.
