Just curious...with the retailers selling a wide range of bats with prices varying between <£100 to £400+, given that they hand pick all these bats, do retailers claim top performance even from bats in the lower price range? If so, then why would someone want to pay a lot for a great bat?

Can't speak for others.

WE try to pick what we feel to be the best bats at every single price point, that doesn't mean a £100 bat is better than a £400 bat. Occasionally there are some superb bats at low prices but generally what we are saying is a bat that we have selected has been picked because WE feel it is better than the other bats at the the same grade that were available.

Thank you for the prompt replies! I would like to visit a shop, however they are not local to me. I am based in Notts. B3 is local, but bats are bit expensive for me. I will try to get in touch with the retailers in this forum. Thanks.

I am slightly tempted towards the MB malik sher, since it says Grade 1 willow! However, need to check the weight.

We will sort you out ;-)

To be honest B3 is worth a visit even just for a look around! Like a kid in a sweet shop! They're very approachable chaps though and will go out of their way to help you out as best they can.

I will try to to give B3 a visit in the weekend to see if I can get a decent bat within the budget! Thanks.

Like I say even if you decide you want a bat from elsewhere, it's a great place to visit just to have a look at all the pro shapes and ex pro bats they have there :)

That being said if you go there you'll leave with a bat, you won't be able to resist :D
