Am i the only one that thinks if i was paying the massive price tag for a bat of this nature it would look a bit better? ie staighter grains, more grains

Not at all, I agree that it should look nicer for the price tag - however, there is a market for those who appreciate performance/size over looks, so I guess GN catered to it! Besides, low density clefts are apparently pretty rare, so to get oversized ones to make these monsters is probably why they charge a fair bit more!

The quality of the looks is definitely better on the Pro grade, but the Monster is a better pinger and MUCH bigger. Both made from equally high quality materials, although personally, I quite like the looks of the Monster as well. My view is, if you want an elegant looking bat with exquisite grains, go for a Legend, if you want a brute, go for a 50+. Both are beautiful in their own way, stop the cricket bat body shaming!

I love looking at your reviews and think you do a great job presenting bats in their best light.

Outside of grain structure and those things I'm looking forward to warner getting a new model in the future because I have always found the looks of the Kaboom to be designed by a three year old. I don't find the model to be attractive. The GN 50+ on the other hand is classic. The kaboom needs a major refresh. The Predator and H4L have much nicer livery in my opinion.

The other thing about the Kaboom is it is not sold in his exact player specs and is 2.5-3 oz heavier than his playing weight. It sort of shows that these 2.14 weights are too unwieldy for 90 mph bowlers? Anyway what do I know about what makes a good looking bat as I have enjoyed using my 2.9 B3 Beluga. As pointed out at the end of the day if it picks up well and goes, then who cares.
