@ogroupleader , out of interest, why didn't you apply the tape on the back of the bat? Is it too rigid to be shaped?

Cracking collection btw, love the Legends. That XP80 is something very special at that weight too, did you request a 2.8, or was it an off the shelf blind purchase that happened to be 2.8?

..i feel like im not doing a very good job selling it. Do you need me to talk about the expertly fitted extratec sheet? ......
Ha Ha I get the feeling you lack the need to sell it as much as lack the I need to buy it. I had to put a $500 cap on whim purchases.

Hmmm... I agree that the change in swing weight will affect the performance of the bat itself. That's mostly down to user preference though, F=ma means that if he swings a 2.11 bat as quickly as a 2.8, then there will be an increase in performance. As to increasing the sweetspot size, most likely, again, to do with the swing weight etc.

If you're going merely by tapping a ball up and testing the 'ping', then I don't think the tungsten tape really makes a difference, but then again, I've never tried anything like this out.
Haven't tried it yet. The goal of the tape is increased weight. Any effect on the sweetspot is a side effect and not the end game.  With only 1 ounce added there is not going to be a noticable effect on stability/sweetspot size. Thats less than 2.5% of the bat's total weight located on the edges. I wouldnt expect to notice a difference until another few ounces are added at least.

Its soft pliable and rubberized. It is on the edges so that in the event i liked the weight  could cover it up with fibreglass tape and use it in a match.
It was a blind purchase. Sent direct from gray nic.
