Wolverton Town CC are looking for players for the 2017 season. We have 3 league teams on a Saturday and a Sunday XI - something for all levels. We have clubhouse with bar, sightscreens, new 30k nets being built, covers and an excellent wicket. We have recruited a half dozen sponsors already this season and there's a genuine buzz around the club. Subs are only �50 a season as well. The clincher is obviously I'm playing for them, as 2nd XI Captain, what more could you want?

Welcome to the Cherwell League. With amount of travelling across Oxon you could have come and joined @petehosk @Northern monkey and myself at CBF South Midlands CC

Oxford 4th play 2 miles from my house, so pop round for a cup of tea (and cake)

Might do that, I'm hoping we can roll them over and get off to a flyer. Knowing my luck we'll end up batting first on a wet greentop and having to grind out 150. Travelling isn't too bad, we have nearby Buckingham 4 and 9 home games less than a mile from my house. Going to a few new places so I don't mind a drive. Spend nearly 2 hours doing Marlow to Lensbury and you appreciate only an hour!

Once played a couple of games for Wolverton around 1987/8 when I was working at the Carriage works. Played most of my cricket with the West Indian lads (Greenleys?) who played at the pub think it was called Bradwell Monk back then.
