Couple of pics after leaving glue to dry overnight:





And after a sanding, new scuff sheet and tape fitted. Looks like I went OTT with tape, but a bit at the top of the splice, some at the bottom and a strip at the top of the scuff sheet makes it look like I have gone to town more than I have:





Pinging nicely, feels a bit stronger so pretty pleased. I know it won't last forever but I am making plans for my next wand.
