We found out ahead of time as he was due to commentate at our game vs Lashings today but due to the announcement isn't able to make it.
I've got mixed feelings about him leaving, one the one hand I absolutely love his commentary but I've felt in recent years that he's gone from being a great commentator to that crazy grandad that you have to put up with talking at family parties.

I grew up with Blowers and TMS - such an amazing commentator that had a great way of keeping you entertained whilst talking about the cricket.
Although i like a lot of people feel it is the right time to go because lately he hasn't been 'at his best'
