'Kumar Sangakkara is the first player in history to score a hundred against every single opponent in a County Championship season'

I think that sums it up quite nicely

Albeit against 7 opponents, rather than the 17 it would have been at one time.

Still no mean achievment, of course.

Good point that - great achievment but not a coincidence it's come in the year with the smallest ever number of opponents in a championship season!

Sanga (and Nick Gubbins forgetting how to bat) has ruined my preseason county top runscorers punt, I didn't realise he was coming for almost a whole season! Would be sitting pretty otherwise :(

Just noted that as an error, although he did get a one day cup ton against Hampshire

I think the achievement was to score a championship ton against every county he played. I don't think he played CC against Hampshire (but, yes, he did get a one day ton against them).

Not a huge fan of stats myself but I am going to check the most championship runs  in a season, I don't know the answer years back it was Jimmy cook the South Africa-Somerset fans may know he scored absolute hat fulls at Taunton. Would guess it was ramps in recent years thou

Off to check I'm a bit bored  :) back with the answer soon  for those interested
