Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I was just browsing and had something to add. I got hit flush between the Grill and the peak of my Arytek Ti when facing a fairly quick bowler (75mph+)- the helmet was already cracked (was currently putting off getting another) and the peak shattered, subesquently cutting my chin. However I didn't feel a thing, hit him for a huge six two balls later and was incredibly impressed with the protection offered by my already broken Arytek.

After the game I ordered a new Arytek, which arrived the Friday before my next game- and since that point, I've felt so much more comfortable against the short ball, having 100% confidence in my helmet has helped me get right in line without worrying about getting sconed, which was certainly not what I expected!

Thanks Arytek!!

^ Ayrtek is a fantastic product! I used to worry about visibility but once I put it on and played my first game (didn't even try it in the nets first), it was better than I had expected. Kudos to Ayrtek!

That's one of the best recommendations for a product I've seen.!
With something like a helmet, protection and comfort are paramount.
Fair play to Ayrtek for excelling at both

Thanks Arytek!!

Glad it did its job, I have changed the plastics being in the new models to a more robust material in the Ayrtek Cricket version.

Also the same with the new PremAYR model that has a plastic shell and the air liner in it again 👍

Always nice to read positive stories, as a one man band it's tough at times to try and cover all aspects of what people want in a product....I've got a traditional design that I'd love to launch but have lots of other models to progress 1st.

Funny you mention this .... i have two ayrtek helmets . I have only worn then each a handfull of times ( bought towards end of last season , wanted to save them for the start of this season). During the off season id try on one of these lids and two and fro about the vision due to the unique peak shape , sometimes thinking 'im not sure its as good as my masuri /will i ever get totally used to it' etc . Anyway , with season starting in  two weeks time , today i had my first 'dressed rehearsal' ( using actual match kit i will use this season). I forgot about the ayrtek after the first ball . An hour later i noticed how much i like the vision.  At the end of the 2hrs batting i  thought 'wow , love these things so much , i cant ever use anything else'.

In the past two seasons I've been hit on the head whilst wearing the Masuri VS Elite Titanium, despite them both being fairly quick deliveries I didn't feel a thing and completely trust my Masuri helmet :)

The only time I've been hit recently I actually ramped the ball into my own face!

Note to self - you're not Jos Butler, you struggle enough with conventional shots... :-[

I keep in my ayrtek carbon helmet. It is so light i barely notice it and its cooler than my shrey helmet. Ive been hit on the head while standing up a fair few times (including once by the batsmans bat). Barely even notice it. Top quality, i wish i had the air liner one now. Always wanted reebok pumps, air liner helmets seems the closest i could get.

Limited numbers of the air liner RawAYR version are back in stock ATM but selling fast....PremAYR version will be in stock in Oz shortly via Whack Sports at the end of the month too. Then I'll e stocking up here too as I'm awaiting a new batch of liners currently having been cleared out due to demand and fast-tracking the launch to get them out to Oz.
