Hello Forum,

This is my first post after many years of following custom bats and it is surrounding my beloved cricket club St Peters in Brighton.

We are a thriving club with 6 men's teams, a ladies team, and colts teams covering all ages between Under 9 to Under 16 . In 2018 our 1sts will finally be playing in the county league after 20 years of trying. Our club is based in the Preston Park area of Brighton and is easily accessible to anyone living in the city, which is brilliant for walking home after a few too many drinks at the end the match! That said we have players commuting from London to have a game and from across East Sussex.

We are looking to attract cricketers who would like to play for our 1sts / 2nds due to number of players leaving for new jobs (the danger of being a club in a city and not far from London!). Our 1sts are a happy blend between young and old but we really are after some new talent the same with our 2nds.

If you have just moved to the Brighton area or are looking to play at higher level in East Sussex it would be great to hear from you!

@JimmyB your not county, your East Division 4.

Not trying to be a dick, but the league has been restructured and from what I understand its a unanimous vote to merge the east, west, mid and sussex prem leagues.

It is true a league structure along these lines is imminent but after years of trying and finally winning div1 to get into the county league, it is a force of habit! As it stands the teams we will be playing are all of the old county league sides bar a new league title. Anyway, if anyone is interested please do get in touch
