Anyone know about Champ Sports softs as a guy at my club had a few pairs of gloves and pads for sale.
Do they make for any bigger brands?
What is the protection like?

Depends on the Softs in question, I’ve used them in the past for some Softs.

@Ayrtek Cricket the bully gloves and pads and the triumphus gloves.
The guy believes they make for some bigger brands but I haven't heard about them

They make for quite a lot of the smaller brands. Pretty cheap and the quality is semi-acceptable for the price paid, but the prices charged by most of these companies is another story.

What sort of price is your mate trying to charge you? Can probably find a far better option for cheaper/similar price on here - if you can get decent gear anywhere it's CBF!

they make for quite a few brands, including us, we use them because, locally people dont really  want to spend a lot on pads,so depends on what you are looking for, the bags are generally quite good, however you will probably get better with the forum sponsors if willing to pay  a bit more,

It just depends what level of quality the gear he's selling is I guess. Champ, as with all suppliers, make a large range of kit at different quality levels so it obviously varies. A brand local to me use Champ and the quality of their kit is significantly below what you'd expect for the RRPs charged (that's not to say there isn't better Champ kit available, but these are pretty cheap in all honesty).

When you know what sort of price you're looking at just let us know on here, all the sponsors offer great kit at varying prices so you'll certainly find some good options :)
