Closest shape/profile to this...
« on: March 11, 2018, 04:02:46 PM »

So my favourite bat is on the cusp of death, there’s a crack horizontally under the front sticker
It’s a totally brilliant bat but I’ve never really known what it was.
Bought as a refurb from M&H and I could see ‘Spartan’ outline on edge when I subsequently repaired it, but that could just mean the previous owner had restickered it.
It’s had a repair from @jamesisapayne to the edge and a new handle - it’s a bit like Triggers broom
Weight is 2lb 9oz
I’ve attached as many photos as I can and was hoping that someone could steer me towards a current bat profile that would be a similar shape. It must be a fairly standard Indian shape but I’m not an expert like some others on here.
I did like the Newbery B1 that was posted a week or so ago but £200 seemed a bit pricey.

Any suggestions on a sensible budget welcome - thanks

UZI Poseidon would do nicely I think, or the new BlankBats B1 shape Mk.2 (Joe Root Profile)

Both are made by TK and I'm sure with them being sponsors on the forum (Uzi and BlankBats) you'd be able to get one in your budget.

Why not just ask one of the forum sponsors to copy it for you? Then you know you are getting the same profile.

I have thought about getting it copied but it only cost me £75 and it seems crazy to spend loads recreating it - was hoping someone would spot it as a generic shape and I’d pick up another cheapish

Thanks for all suggestions so far...

I'd argue that the likes of John at RedInk / Adam at Neon / Tai at BB and the guys at Chase could all do something for you around the 200 mark which would be a belter! I'm sure even cheaper if you need :)

A Grade 4 from me would be £148.74 (+ P&P) inc CBF discount - I've recently had a bat copied for another CBF member so this isn't an issue at all if you're interested :)
