Slazenger V600 Titan
« on: March 15, 2018, 12:34:11 PM »

Just bought a Slazenger V600 Titan from eBay, anybody have any experience with them or have one in your vast batting arsenal?

Or are they a piece of junk that's going to break against the first fast ball of the season?

In Australia Slazenger is pretty much invisible now. Were very popular when you had M.Waugh, Symonds and Martyn using them, and then Clarke and Smith as recent as the last 5-6 years ago. Disappeared off the fact of the earth now. Send some pics when you can!

Once clothed James Bond, and provided bats to the likes of Richards and Bradman, they've a place in history for certain.  They still churn out some decent stuff, though must admit the last Slaz I played with was a v800 with the double scoop back.

I'll post some pics of it when I get back to the office where it as at the minute. It seems pretty decent, weighs about 2'10. Has a heavier pickup than the GM DXM I have.

I've seen mixed reviews of the other Slazenger models but not the V600 - was planning on using it in the nets and as a reserve.

Had a quick google and the v600 Titan was once available for £6.99 at Sports Direct, not promising signs...

What did you pay for it?

I paid £20.00 for it on a whim. One of those bids where you don't expect to win then end up with it.

Back is painted with some kind of off-white finish.
