Unconventional Shots?
« on: April 09, 2019, 09:48:54 AM »

Wasting time at work, I have been watching a few creative shots on youtube. I would love to see any other suggestions you may have.
Reverse Sweep (pretty standard now really, but in my boyhood absolute rogue)

Dilscoop (anyone been brave enough?)

All of my shots are unconventional.

In my head they are conventional, but there seems to be some disconnect once the bat starts moving...............

The one that I’ve been loving in the IPL is the Pant leg glance - mainly because he appears to stand on tiptoe and stick his backside up as far as possible; minimal swing of the arms but still flies to the boundary/fielder’s welcoming hands.

Cool replies, thanks
Here's my expanding list:
1) Reverse Sweep
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TesPaaZs2hg
2) Dilscoop
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dm-aWD-Euw&t=40s
3) Natmeg

That "Natmeg" awesome. Pretty risky LBW wise though  :)

DorsetDan - do you have any clips of the other examples you list? can't find them by searching sorry.

Trying to get my head round a flamingo - it's a leg glance but played to a ball outside off stump? You step out onto the off and still clip it like it's bowled onto your legs?
