Coach's Kit
« on: May 24, 2018, 08:53:07 PM »

My new club is looking to source some training kit for nets,warm-ups,training- skyers, foam stumps, pop-up nets etc.  What would you guys recommend as the bare essentials? Any ideas as to the best value places out there? My thoughts:

1. 2 sets of foam stumps   https://www.talentcricket.co.uk/stumps_bails_and_boundary_flags/hunts_county_reflex_training_stumps/c268p1235.html?pos=2034&search_params=YTo3OntzOjEyOiJjYXRlZ29yeV9pZHMiO2E6MTp7aTowO3M6MzoiMjczIjt9czoxNjoiY2F0ZWdvcnlfcmVjdXJzZSI7YjoxO3M6ODoia2V5d29yZHMiO3M6MDoiIjtzOjk6ImJyYW5kX2lkcyI7TjtzOjQ6Im1vZGUiO3M6MzoiYWxsIjtzOjQ6InNvcnQiO3M6OToicHJpY2VfYXNjIjtzOjEwOiJjb3VudHJ5X2lkIjtpOjE7fQ%3D%3D

3. https://www.cricketdirect.co.uk/Catalogue/Cricket-Coaching-Aids/Kookaburra-Fielding-Practice-Net-9980850000I3

4. catching mitt:  https://www.amazon.co.uk/JL-120-vinyl-baseball-glove-outfield/dp/B001W7D80E/ref=cts_sp_3_vtp

5. Katchet:  https://www.talentcricket.co.uk/training_aids/katchet_catching_practice_mat/c273p1296.html?pos=3542&search_params=YTo3OntzOjEyOiJjYXRlZ29yeV9pZHMiO2E6MTp7aTowO3M6MzoiMjczIjt9czoxNjoiY2F0ZWdvcnlfcmVjdXJzZSI7YjoxO3M6ODoia2V5d29yZHMiO3M6MDoiIjtzOjk6ImJyYW5kX2lkcyI7TjtzOjQ6Im1vZGUiO3M6MzoiYWxsIjtzOjQ6InNvcnQiO3M6OToicHJpY2VfYXNjIjtzOjEwOiJjb3VudHJ5X2lkIjtpOjE7fQ%3D%3D

Any other ideas would be welcomed, and any sponsors who could sort this for us at a good price would be much appreciated! I have seen some coaching kits from the likes of Duncan Fearnley, but they are v expensive and some of the stuff included ain't great.

Things I use every training = Fusion foam stumps, GN catching bat, cones, trusty catching mit, sidearm when going in the nets, good amount of used balls.
Things I use every other week = katchet, pop up nets.

Basically what potzy said above . Would love a 'proper' slips cradle though and Pitchvision .....they are two expensive things i reckon that would be well worth it .

all of the above and i found a quick cricket set really useful,

can be used for a variety of warm ups/practices or for the intended purpose of quick cricket!

Deffo a skyer, get some cones and the ladder things too for marking drills out the ladders were great for footwork drills. There was a computer program that was great for drill ideas as well i used to use a lot it was only cheap about £20 but it showed how each drill should be set up and showed how it worked as well think it was called GAP Sports
