No idea of the truth of it but that's what I was always told.

So if you don't bother getting to the pitch and slog, you're in between the two and will middle everything? :D

Heart wood is magical properties for big hits!

I wish I could buy that cleft and have Tim Keeley shape it into an amazing bat for me. :D
