Hi all

Strange question as the answer will obviously be subjective, but what would you guys recommend as the "best" keeping gloves?

I'm not a proper keeper, only doing it in friendly or touring games so have been using an entry level pair of Hunts County gloves up to now. The grippy bit has now worn off and getting them re-faced would cost more than the gloves did. Is there any real benefit to buying a more premium pair?

And most importantly, what would you guys recommend?

The best ones I've worn were the all white Gray Nicolls from a couple of seasons ago. The issue was that the grip didn't last very long - they wore out after less than a season!

They were super soft and comfortable though.

B3 have been the best I�ve had, also tried SS, Puma, Chase, Slaz

I�m probably a snob but would always go too range, hard to go back once you�ve tried the good stuff.
Often good deals around to keep the price down if you aren�t in a rush too

If you went top end which i doubt you will as a part time keeper. GM original and kook top of the range are class an better than anything else ive used partly because theyve lasted more than a season. These are both short cuff whch i prefer.

Last year playing in the team made up of forum members i tried on Neon�s gloves. They felt really good but i havent used them so thats just first impression. Im considering buying some, id also love to try those new GM gloves with the weird palm cause they seemed ace.

I�ve always used GM keeping kit, the sizing is perfect and the quality is second to none, if your after a top end keeping gloves go with either the original or LE version and you won�t be disappointed

Cam, as a keeper I have used GM kit for the last 3 seasons and must say the gloves from them are as good as anything I have used I used the entry level 303 gloves in my 1st season in OSM with a 2nd pair of inners and they were just so soft & supple from the off, obviously the palm was thinnner that top end and finger protection was basic but for the cost very good. Last year I used OLE model and by far the best & most comfortable.

I have the OLE wicket keeping gloves in sale section if your after a decent set for the odd occasion

I'm also in the part time keeping boat and use Red Ink gloves - not a clue how they compare to top end stuff but they're plenty good enough, kept my rock hard hands safe keeping against 75+mph last season. Nice and comfy and well protected. Also see they're available new on eBay for �22.50!

I've gone through a few sets coaching and occasional keeping. Best I've had were the @Neon Cricket gloves from a few years back. Regret selling them. If the current Neon gloves are the same quality then they'd be worth every penny.

Old school kookaburra silvers or super greens for me.

Of the modern era GN & Kookaburra seem to be setting the pace

Iv only kept in a couple of social fixtures and used my teammates Puma Brendan Mccullum edition keeping gloves. Dont know exactly what model but theyr black in color. They felt and played like a dream!

just managed to get a pair of brand new 'silvers' so much nicer than anything else I have used. would love a pair of super greens as well.

Top end kook short cuff if you can get a pair cheap off ebay, i have some and they're awesome.

Also used B3s, which are great from the go. I'd follow the advice of far better keepers than me if you're looking at cheaper end...
