Club helmets v Helmet clads
« on: May 26, 2019, 09:02:35 PM »

Has anyone got contacts for helmet clads?
Do they work for all helmets?
ALso opinions  of club embroidered helmets v clads.

I think we'd get more take up  for clads as they would be cheaper, but embroidered helmets look much better IMO..

Thoughts and also any suppliers of helmet clads or  club embroidered helmets would be appreciated

I believe Serious Cricket have the exclusive rights for the helmet covers in the UK, but don't quote me on that.

They cost about £25 each I think which seems a bit steep to me.

I personally wouldn't recommend helmet covers. The one I used didn't fit the helmet but rather just stretch over it. The peak area was especially quite raised in comparison to the shell. Bear in mind this wan an Albion cover on an Albion helmet and it looked much worse when I tried it on a fixed grille Shrey. To be fair though I'm not sure I should have really expected anything else from what is just a piece of elasticated fabric. They would still be an improvement over every one coming out in a different colour however.
