Pretty sympathetic to the original I'd say!

Holy thread resurrection Batman!

Quick question on these new retro V12s. Should they all be numbered? (e.g. 174/200)

Because I've seen one or two that aren't.
And they don't have the embossed/'burnt' logo and MADE IN ENGLAND marks, but stickers in their place instead.

Was it one year (2013?) that they were numbered, and in subsequent years they didn't bother?

Anyone throw some light?

From memory, they were numbered in the original UK made run. After that is a little more complex.

After the original run (which coincided with most retailers ceasing to sell Slaz, or at least really reducing their orders) the provenance of the bats is anyone's guess. I suspect some were probably UK made but it is hard to keep track.
I think they did muddy the waters for everyone involved by selling out of the limited run with number engraving and certificates and then releasing an identical looking range of bats in terms of stickers that didn't carry any numbering and wasn't UK made in my opinion, even if the sticker said so.

Can't zoom in enough to see if it is a 'Made in England' or a 'Designed in England'.

Thanks for thoughts @KettonJake

And that one on ebay is the one that prompted me asking, as it goes!
Seems like the ones to look out for are the original made in England limited runs of the 200 LEs or 200 5-stars with the numbered marking and engraving.
They seem to be rare as hens teeth now.
Agree with Jake that the subsequent runs did muddy the waters.
Not to say that the others are not necessarily decent bats.
