Finished weight: 1205g (2lb10.5oz) feels 2-8 in my hands
All Sapwood Zero heartwood
Zero concaving
6-7 straight grains
Round face
38mm edges
63mm spine
20mm toe on the edge
32mm toe in the center
17.5mm shoulders
107mm blade width
555mm blade length
295mm handle length
Medium thickness round handle
AS Champ Asif Ali stickers
The press is quite soft so it will require careful knocking in

"The press is quite soft so it will require careful knocking in"

That's the key.
A poor friend bought it directly from the factory after looking at mine and broke it into two pieces within a week. He didn't knock it well enough.

Thats absolutely key isnt it? I emphasized a lot on the knocking in my video. This kind of soft press requires prolonged and careful knocking

Having knocked in 5 AS bats since last year (4 have been this CHAMP model, maybe due to some sale they had in the past) - The bats ordered on internet feel hollower/DRIER than the ones ordered in person.  All 5 bats have been in 2.10-2.12 range.

Only a relatively small set of data for the AS- 2 (picked from factory) VS 3 (ordered on internet) - NOW counting MFARANK's bat its 3 vs 3 now and all following the same pattern.

Very similar to RNS LARSONS - if you pick it in person its most likely a gun, order it online you wont have much fun  ;) Online ordered Larsons are so bad most  will start cracking while being knocked in properly .

Sitonit - did your friend pick the AS bat in person or ordered over the internet?

I didnt pick it up in person. I dealt with them purely through whatsapp and had the bat delivered to me

My friend ordered it in online.
The bat didn't seem over-dried or felt hollower to show signs of deterioration during the very little knocking that was done to it.
