Hi all, I don't want to come over as daft but I have a bat that has put on a few winter Ozs in the attic and i was just wondering whether you could slowly dry them out to bring out the moisture it has taken on?

Yes, leave it somewhere at room temperature over a period if time and it will return to its original weight, then oil it.
Don't stick it in the airing cupboard or on a radiator unless you want it to go a bit brittle...
