Canterbury Batting and Wicket Keeping gloves
« on: March 05, 2010, 05:12:18 PM »

Anyone used canterbury batting or wicket-keeping gloves?

My local sport shop where i got my canterbury bat for £100 are doing a clearance, where there is a 'buy one get one free' rail. Where I plan to buy a baselayer for £20, and get a pair of batting gloves or keeping gloves for free.

I could also get canterbury batting pads, keeping pads, rugby shirts, trackies you name it. All buy one get one free but looking at getting gloves.... hell of an offer!

I have a pair of gloves, would recommend them a lot! As for the keeping gloves a team mate has them and gets on with them fine whenever he keeps.

About the batting gear, not sure if it applies to the keeping gloves, but I remember Tom saying something about Cants gloves shouldn't be on sale as they're his design, or something along those lines. Might be worth dropping a PM first, if he gives you the all clear I would advise getting some.

lol just annoying mate seeing how they promised us they would be selling the kit by the 1000's and their first order suddenly dropped by 50% when confirming it.

Priced the goods to high for a introduction into the market IMO...had two good USP's with the pads and gloves that we designed but trying to charge top end prices when its your 1st year in the market was the downfall I feel.

Premium pricing didn't take effect then, maybe penetration pricing was the way forward. Paying attention in business helps!
