Fully Laser Engraved Bats
« on: December 22, 2020, 04:10:36 PM »

So it seems like we are in a new trend atm.

There have been quite a few fully Laser engraved bats launched. Initially it was the GN Legend, but now we have a host of SS bats available. Quickly followed by CA, CP and maybe others too.

Was just wondering, what are people's views on this type of branding? Do people like it? And would they want to add one to their collection?

I love it!

I want my bats to have no stickers, no toe guard, and a single grip.

These bat makers should laser engrave a unique "bar code" identifying the authenticity of the bat.

I like CP's, Willostix and GN's laser engraved bats. They don't really lose any brand identity IMO, their own idea/design.

CA and SS in my view are a rip off, with CA even naming the bat the same as the GN Legend. IMO, if they had engraved the iconic 'CA' down the spine, that would have been what sets them apart.

I had around 15 bats engraved at the start of the summer as samples and I think engraving looks fantastic. I purposely kept them minimalistic and I fell in love with that style of branding.

Robinsons have been very active on their Instagram feed lately and their engraved butterfly bats look outstanding.

Definitely a classy way of branding bats in my eyes.
