Home treadmill
« on: February 02, 2021, 10:53:49 AM »

Hi - my lads are keen on a home treadmill to set up in the garage. Not sure how much they would actually use it but some advice from anyone that has one would be welcome!

Budget is ideally under £400 - will have to manage expectations on what we get for that.

Let me know your thoughts/experience.

Thanks

If you have the capability, you're probably best off looking at the 2nd hand market and collecting one mate - most decent basic treadmills are upwards of £600 (I've done the research from lockdown 1 :D)

This is right.
I design gyms for local authorities and buy new kit and sell the gym kit to buy back companies.
We sell a 5-10 year old treadmill to a buy back company for around £200, these same models are on eBay 2nd hand for over £1000.

The ones you see in your local gyms are upwards of £2k and that’s with bulk buy discount.

Given the pandemic and the impact it's had on the fitness industry. Keep an eye out on Auction websites (not fleabay) that sell equipment from companies that have gone to the wall.
