Electronic Scoreboards
« on: June 14, 2021, 03:00:07 PM »

HI we are a Dutch club and looking for some alternative but cost effective Electronic scoreboard suppliers to ship to Amsterdam.
Has anybody had an electronic score board ordered, shipped to their club recently?

Durant seems reasonable - but no DucKWorthLewis as well as chasing target?
creative and value for money solutions welcome

I did find an old link to Alibaba but would need a very good reference for something like this out of Asia.

Hi mate, if you're up for a bit of a challenge you can always build one for yourself. It's a much much cheaper option, and it only requires a basic understanding of electronics. You can check out https://buildyourownscoreboard.wordpress.com . They posted a step by step guide to building one from design to build. They authors of the site are more than willing to assist in case of problems or they can even help with the coding in case you want some additional features. For example when I built my club's scoreboard (George Village Forest Reserve CC) I wanted to add a "Partnership" score and a "Runs Req" score which counted down. The guys were more than willing to help.

I’ve just built this for my club for less than £1800 (some materials donated)

Unfortunately I am no electrician and I have proposed to some of my colleagues. We will see if  we can get any interest from the group.

Please contact me, you can have any category, target, duckworth lewis, whatever.  This is a board we did at the Edgbaston Foundation Ground in 2020.
