You will be lucky now to get something under £100, these days, even from him!

A quick look at the MSR website suggests that is pretty categorically untrue.

Why let the truth get in the way of a forum post?

Have a quick look at his eBay shop, you'll find quickly enough that grade 1 for £175 is a bargain! 😀

What does that have to do with your statement that "you will be lucky now to get something under £100, these days, even from him"?

I don't disagree that a grade 1 bat for £175 would be a very good deal, assuming that it is well constructed, picks up and performs well and there is a level of customer service assurance from the retailer. Not sure that others experience of MSR bats suggests that they are consistently well constructed.

He seems to have good customer service from what I've read... no spin or pzazz... says it like it is and priced accordingly... can't really moan from what I can see.

Thanks for the info guys - but with it being good kinda makes me unsure! Just looking for somewhere that offers a cheaper price for decent piece willow (aren’t we all!) as I don’t want to pay silly prices for a bat. Found a lot of websites offering unbranded/plain English willow bats but a guess there’s a risk with anything online. Sadly no decent cricket shops near me.
