Has anyone else noted the reduction in quality of grips.
They seem to be thinner and perish much faster than grips I have had in the past. Which is rubbish as they are about double the price of what they used to be.

Yep, I agree. I found the original GN grips way too flimsy so I've replaced them with GM ones. I'm sure I'll go to hell for this but it works for me.

I bought these for 2GBP each in the off season. A good blend of feel and grip.

I've just got a chevron from get padded up.its described as a chevron lite and it is mighty thin.

The only advantage is they hardly add any weight to the bat, it's a tiny amount.

My bat is a GM which tend to have thick handles so it works. If you have a Keeley you might need 3 of this 'new style' before you notice they are on there

The big supplier of UK made chevron grips went bust a while ago so I�ve been told and these are now rather scarce. If anyone knows of a uk maker of chevron grips please let me know as need to buy in bulk

I was using the UK Chevrons but they were not easy to deal with at the best of times. Good grips though, now trying to find some of equivalent quality isn't easy!

I think half the issue is the companies that are selling grips en masse are buying them in as cheap as possible with no actual care for the quality (most of the public wouldn't know the difference unfortunately) - if you order enough I've never had an issue specifying grip weights/thicknesses from overseas though. As for UK made grips, it's the whole 'UK made automatically makes something better than made overseas' argument again... rubber is rubber...

Yeah I ordered a few of those a while back for a friend who specifically wanted chevron, stupidly thin - can imagine you'd be changing it within a few weeks.

Yeah I ordered a few of those a while back for a friend who specifically wanted chevron, stupidly thin - can imagine you'd be changing it within a few weeks.

I personally wasn't saying UK is always better, just the grips I'd had from the UK supplier were very good quality compared to the first batch I've tried elsewhere. These were from an established supplier, but are very hit and miss quality wise.

Sorry mate, reading that back it was probably a bit abrupt!! Yeah it's certainly not easy finding consistent suppliers, would much rather they just stuck their prices up by 20p and kept the same thickness of rubber instead of trying to cut costs.
