New Bat
« on: January 25, 2022, 06:19:08 PM »

So I am after a new bat on a lowish budget. I'm after a Mid-Low middle and a budget of around £120. The past couple of years I had bats from MSR, being a low order they have been fine and decent enough value, but both times the Toe has gone bang.

Currently trying to decide between a Newbery Phantom LE which I have found or a GM Noir 606 on sale which I am leaning towards.

Has anyone got any pearls of wisdom or any other recommendations?

Cheers!

GM Noir...

Ask some of the forum sponsors... some great value to be had. Some of the GMs are graded generously.

I have a Noir 808 and is stunning for a bat that is supposed to be grade 2...

@Six Sixes Cricket can tell you about 606s - they'll have some in stock that may suit!

If it’s just between those two you have set your heart on then go with the GM every day of the week.

Alternatively Dean makes a cracking butterfly bat, and a few other bat makers on here maybe able to offer you something for your budget or close to it.

I had a good chat with Dean last night and I'm going to see him in a couple of weeks to hopefully pick out a butterfly!

Great choice. In my opinion Dean is the best maker of a butterfly bat and trust me...I've had a lot of butterfly bats. You can't go wrong with @Vulcan Cricket he is an absolute top bloke.

@twixy12 , just to add to the comments about Vulcan. I had a chap in a couple of weeks ago, he had 2 bats , a Vulcan butterfly and a (company that claim to make loads for pro’s). The Vulcan bat was in a different league and I couldn’t believe the lad was using the other bat in the hope it would come good. If Dean is In your budget, snap his hand off
