Quick morning visit to Scott Cricket
« on: April 12, 2022, 03:44:33 PM »

Had a bat that needs some tweaking, so was pleased to find that Jonny is located near my work place..

Could become very dangerous for my wallet..

Pleasant morning and nice chin wag... great setup ... could become a place for drop in visits for a coffee *hint* @jonny77   ;)

Had a selection of some lovey stock bats... resisted the temptation to start swinging each one and further disturb him working.

Looking forward to seeing his workshop grow.

Thought I'd just share morning trip.

Great to meet you mate and always good to chat to another forum member. I did actually think when you'd gone it was rude of me not to have stuck the kettle on! 😆 I'll rectify this when you pick the bat up for sure

Given the lack of pictures, I think we can all safely assume this didn't happen.

So picked my bat up and took a few pics. New softs had just arrived, and they looked really nice, all white,  simple, classy with embossing.

Some nice bits of willow floating about. Enjoy!!!

The grains on the grade 2 just above the picture of the pads tho! Looks stunning for a grade 2, seen much worse looking supposed Grade 1s. Really stunning bats by Jonny.

Absolutely, really love the pads and gloves too. So much detail on them, might have to buy a pair!

Thanks mate, really pleased you've said that as a lot of time, effort and input goes into the detail of my softs. I have quite a lot of say in how I want them to look and feel etc, as it's important to me to not just go completely generic. Really happy with how they've come out!

I think everything looks super smart and of the highest quality, as I’ve said to Jonny privately - just more of a fan of sausage style with a little split personally- but can imagine it’s a right pain to get a variety of softs

Thanks mate. I honestly think it is of the highest quality and a lot of thought goes into my softs. It's great my manufacturer is happy to change whatever i want, as I'm very picky! 😆

I will hopefully add more styles, sizes etc in. As with everything you can't cater for all tastes, as much as you'd like to, but it's impossible. Initially I've felt it important to concentrate on one style and get them 100% as I wanted.

Appreciate all the feedback though, it helps to develop ideas for future products

Some stunning willow on show in those photos and the softs look top class…seriously good work @jonny77 👏🏻
I may have to finally take the plunge and get a Scott bat.
